AnswerThePublic now part of Ubersuggest | June 2022 week 1

By on June 3, 2022

Hey, there fellow readers. Are you ready for any week of SEO News? Let’s see what SEO news we have in store for this week, shall we?

  • AnswerThePublic is now part of Ubersuggest
  • Apple announces a new search engine, Apple Search
  • Google: Nofollow links would not carry much weight

29/5 – Apple announces a new search engine, Apple Search

Apple has recently hinted that they will be releasing a new search engine called, Apple Search.

With Google paying Apple $10-billion in 2020 and $15-billion in 2021 for the rights to become the default search engine for Safari.

The recent announcement is an interesting one to see how Google will respond to such an announcement by Apple. Would they try to offer an exorbitant amount to remain the default search engine for Safari? or will they leave Apple to their own devices?

31/5 – AnswerThePublic is now part of Ubersuggest

UberSuggest has recently announced that they have acquired the keyword research tool AnswerThePublic. With the recent acquisition, UberSuggest now spans over 30 billion keywords and 50 trillion backlinks across 249 countries

2/6 – Google: Nofollow links would not carry much weight

Google’s Search Liaison was recently asked on Twitter whether Nofollow links carry any weight or play any part or carry any link juice for your content.

His response was that Google has changed its previous approach of not using the links at all. However, even now Google would only consider Nofollow links if they are able to find any usefulness but they still wouldn’t give them as much or any weight as compared to Dofollow links.

That’s it!

That is all for SEO News this week fellow readers. Drop a comment if there is anything that you wish to add and tell me what you think about this week’s news.
