Hi friend, welcome to another weekly SEO news. Let’s see what SEO news we have for this week.
Google has recently come under fire with an antitrust lawsuit by Rumble, which alleges the search engine is favoring its video streaming platform, Youtube, over other video streaming platforms.
In a recent legal ruling, Judge Haywood Gilliam dismissed Google’s motion to the court to split the suit’s arguments and dismiss substantial parts of the reasoning as well as strike parts of the suit related to Android app preinstallation.
Do note that the judge’s ruling does not mean that Rumble is successful in their suit. However, this would potentially result in some of Google’s secret ranking algorithms coming to light.
Google’s Search Console function is currently unavailable for users. This means that users would be unable to validate fix for now.
Google also tweeted about the matter, saying that the validate fix would be unavailable for a period of 2 weeks as they are updating the item classification in Google Search Console.
Google is introducing a new way to load People Also Ask section on Google Search. Users who interacted with the People Also Ask section would now dynamically trigger another set of People Also Ask section at the footer of the page.
What do you think about this week’s news? Do you think that Rumble stands a chance in their lawsuit against Google? Do you think that Google will fight tooth and nail to protect their ranking algorithms? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
