In the past, a web page was ranked easily by inserting large amounts of keywords in one article. However, Google changed their algorithm and penalized websites who did that, so everyone fears keyword stuffing and over-optimizing.

LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) Keywords

LSI keywords are based on user search patterns and behavior – how one keyword search is linked to another keyword search. LSI keywords will help to improve your SEO.

When you have a low score, it is possible that you have not inserted enough LSI keywords in your blog post.

To insert LSI keywords, let’s refer to our blog post “Social Media Writing Guide For Marketers”.

Improving Your SEO Score With LSI Keywords

Firstly, expand your LSI Keywords Suggestion, by clicking on the expander button.

You will be able to see all the LSI Keywords suggestions.

Let’s look at the LSI Keywords for our primary keyword, ‘social media’.

In this case, you can see that there are a lot of red crosses, indicating the LSI Keywords that we haven’t included in the blog post.

So now, let’s choose the appropriate LSI Keywords and put them in where it makes the most sense.

When you have included the LSI Keywords suggested to you, you will instantly see a green check and a boost in your SEO score.

We will insert more LSI Keywords in the blog post and see how it goes.

You can also use the LSI Keywords Suggestion for your secondary and tertiary keywords.

Just click on the ‘drop-down menu’ and choose your second keyword. Repeat for the third keyword, if you have one.

Once you’re done, refresh the analysis and it will show your latest score.

There you have it!
